We want to say a huge thank you to the Chairman of Help for Heroes, Michael Lake CBE, for personally supporting the Forgotten Allies fundraising campaign. Speaking of his very personal connection to the Burma campaign in WW2, Michael said: “My stepfather served with the Burma Sappers and Miners alongside the Chindits columns, and I have always felt a warm respect for the loyalty these people showed in support of the Allies. I am pleased to offer my personal endorsement and I am confident that friends and supporters of Help for Heroes would be pleased to see this story being told.”

Michael's day-job is overseeing the brilliant work of British veterans charity Help for Heroes, supporting those with injuries and illnesses attributable to their service in the British Armed Forces. No matter when someone served, they believe that those prepared to put their lives second, deserve a second chance at life. We couldn't agree more, and we're delighted to have Michael on our team.
